Everest helicopter tours are one of the most exciting tours in the world. This tour starts from Tribhuvan International Airport and back in 5 hours. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you will admire the beauty of Everest(8,848m) from the highest point of Everest Base Camp in the Khumbu Region. From this viewpoint, you will encounter the Himalayas like Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Gauri Sankar, Dorje Lakpa, Shisha Pangma, and Jugal.

Helicopter Tour to Everest Base Camp

Everest helicopter tours are divided into 4 parts:

Flight to Lukla

We will fly over the Kathmandu valley with a breathtaking view of the Ganesh, Langtang, and Jugal Himal ranges as well as Melung Tse and Gaurishankar peaks. During the flight to Lukla from above you will see the large and green valley of Jiri.

After a 45 minutes flight, we will arrive in Lukla (2,820m). It is also called Tenzing Hillary Airport and it was named after the first mountain climber to conquer Everest. Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary climbed Mount Everest on May 29, 1953. After a brief break and fuel stop of 30 minutes, you will fly to Kalapatthar (5,545m).

Flight to Everest Base Camp

We will fly at high altitudes with a spectacular of Mount Everest, and other tallest mountains and a breathtaking view of Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar is also known as the capital of the Khumbu region located at an elevation of 3,210m.

We will fly above Syangboche, Dingcoche, and the Khumbu Glacier, Khumbu Glacier is the largest glacier in Nepal.

After 30 minutes flight we will land on Kalapathhar for 10-15 minutes which is also a famous viewpoint in the Everest region.

You will get a close view of Mt Everest, Mt Makalu, Mt Lhotse, Mt Cho Oyu, Mt Nutpse, Mt Amadablam, Lobuche Peak, and Mera Peak.

Fly back to Everest View hotel

The helicopter will land at Everest View Hotel after 15 minutes of flight. You will 1 hour to enjoy breakfast and a mountain view at Everest view hotel. You will see Mt Amadablam, Mt Everest, Mt Cho Oyu, and other mountains from the hotel.

Back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will return to Lukla after 25 minutes of the flight. Then you will fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla for around 30 minutes.
